Amy Tinkler

Amy is a 16 year old British Artistic Gymnast who trains 31 hours a week at South Durham Gymnastics Club, also known as the ‘Pink Gym’.
Amy is a member of the Great Britain National Squad and a TEAM GB MEMBER AT THE 2016 RIO OLYMPIC GAMES!!!

Amy competed for team GB In January 2013 at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival, she returned from Sydney, Australia crowned Youth Olympic Floor Champion and took silver medal on vault in the apparatus finals aswell as team silver.  She then represented team GB in July at the European Youth Olympic Festival held in Holland - the team came back with an historic silver team medal.

Amy was part of the sucessful Junior squad that travelled to Bulgaria in June 2014 for the European Championships. The junior team took an historic silver medal behind Russia and ahead of Romania in 3rd place.  Individually Amy took bronze medal on vault and silver medal on floor in the apparatus finals.  Amy then made history with her GB team mates in October 2015 at the World Championships taking their first ever team medal - bronze behind America and China!!

Amy is the current runner up in the Senior English AA Championships! 

Amy has been crowned British floor Champion for 4 years in a row and is the current Senior British Floor Champion for 2016!!
